My name is tunamelt. I am a big fan of music and have been collecting in one form or another, mostly digital files and compact discs, for about twenty years since about 2002/2003. On this website, I am focused exclusively on music where rhythm is the main element or one of the principal ones. Although I enjoy a wider range of styles than I focus on here, rhythm has for some time and remains one of the most immediate draws musically. I also love ambient and drone based musical forms, which in their own right deserve to have their rhythms prized, this corner of the musical universe will not be explored on this site. If you were wondering, the reason I have called it my "rhythm hut" is a joking nod to the various get rich quick schemes of cartoonist Matt Groening's characters Akbar and Jeff, all named things like "Yogurt Hut", "Liposuction Hut", "Go Kart Hut", etc. I have no such intention with my "hut", I just want a place to hold onto some of my thoughts about music which literally and figuratively moves me. As you might imagine, I love dancing, too. Great for exercise, great way to socialize, great way to hear music, just an all around great way to stay young and sharp.
